1/12/17 This event is SOLD OUT - No Walk-ins please.

You are invited to Puget Sound PMI's signature networking event, which enables managers to share ideas and form relationships in their community and with hiring companies.  Engage in discussions with peers on topics of technical project management, leadership, and strategic and business management while enjoying complimentary hors d'oeuvres. We encourage meeting new people and developing relationships. Managers have benefited from these mixers and some have found employment as a result of relationships started at these events.
Delicious hors d'oeuvres will be served and a cash bar will be available.
This month Greg Smith will be joining us to give an enlightening talk titled:
“Do We Need Project Managers and Scrum Masters?”

“Do We Need Project Managers and Scrum Masters?”

Greg will present a thought provoking talk to discuss that if we are using Agile or Scrum, do we still need a classic Project Manager role on our teams?  In this session, we will cover the common duties of Project Managers and Scrum Masters, contrast the roles to the work needed, and reach an interesting conclusion.

The session will be interactive and your questions and thoughts will be welcome.
Topics covered include:

  • Typical responsibilities for both roles
  • Do we still need PMBOK?
  • Can one person do both roles?
  • What are the best personal attributes for both roles?
  • Do we still have long term planning and budgeting with Agile?

If you ever had any questions about Scrum and Agile in your projects, this presentation is for you!
