“Test Automation in Agile: A Project Manager View”

Historically there have been numerous challenges with implementing functional software test automation, especially in Agile and iterative environments. These challenges are centered on the complexity and cost of automated software testing, the dynamic nature and release timeframes of Agile, and a variety of other organizational characteristics.

With the advent of Cloud services, previously prohibitive automated testing capabilities are now available on demand and with easy to use interfaces resulting in a faster Time-To-Automate (TTA). This can result in an increase in testing velocity, coverage and the leveraging the experience of business and operations personnel.

This presentation focuses on the Capability Maturity Model (CMM) for software testing programs and how it can be utilized to build an organizational testing roadmap. This roadmap can be utilized to plan testing capabilities and capacity to ensure quality is quantified and is maintained as the organization grows.

Parking: Free parking at Bellevue Collection / Square Garage.
