This training will be conducted live via Zoom.
"Troubled" means any employee who may lose their job. Yet often employees who are in "trouble" don't know it until it is too late.
No employee should be surprised when put on a performance-improvement plan. Yet too often in organizations that is exactly what happens.
Join me as I offer a simple model which holds the middle ground between coaching or ignoring and placing an employee on a performance improvement plan.
This model’s systemic lens holds all accountable. Yes, the employee is not performing, but the boss is also part of the dance. Ignoring that fact hurts an organizations ability to learn. There are many ways both may be contributing to the current outcomes. This model provides a clear path to help employees improve and hold both the boss and employee accountable for success.
Additionally, if this model does not work (and in my experience that is vary rare), then the steps are in place to put the employee on a performance-improvement plan.
You will learn:
- A step-by-step repeatable process to improve employee performance
- The difference between individual and systemic ways of viewing employee performance (and why it matters)
- Systemic factors that hurt performance yet are often overlooked
PSPMI members will receive a special partner rate. Choose Partner when registering and enter code PNODN Partner 2019. Also, please enter your PMI member number in the Occupation field. Earn 2.0 Leadership PDU's.
